At the core of their innovation is Gen AI-powered solutions, helping public and private sector clients make smarter decisions, drive strategic outcomes, and shape more sustainable, resilient societies.The Opportunity: We are looking for a visionary Principal Technical Architect – Big Data to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance data and AI architectures. The ideal candidate will be a recognised expert in Big Data technologies with proven experience designing and deploying on-premise solutions. You will work closely with engineering, product, and sales teams to align technical solutions with business goals. This is a strategic role that demands deep technical knowledge, leadership skills, and architectural vision.Key Responsibilities: Design and implement robust, scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines using modern big data technologies.Lead the definition of data architecture standards and enforce best practices around quality, scalability, and performance.Serve as the go-to expert on Big Data and on-premise architecture deployment, ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable environments.Provide mentorship and technical leadership to data engineering teams during implementation phases.Conduct infrastructure sizing and technical assessments for compute, storage, and networking.Collaborate with platform development teams – identify processing gaps, create feature requests, and conduct code reviews.Ensure compliance with information security, governance, business continuity, and risk protocols.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred).Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, TOGAF, Azure Architect) are a plus.Skills & Experience: 10+ years in data-intensive environments in Big Data Engineering or Architect roles.Proven expertise in Big Data architecture, including pipeline design, batch/streaming ingestion, modeling, and infrastructure design.Significant experience building and managing on-premise data platforms and hybrid solutions.Strong technical skills in Spark, Kafka, Clickhouse, Trino, or similar technologies.Proficient in SQL and one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java).Skilled in estimating infrastructure needs for enterprise data workloads.Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.Background in product development and hands-on coding/code reviews is advantageous.Experience in customer-facing technical leadership is a plus.Why Join: You’ll be part of a cutting-edge environment driving real-world change through AI and Big Data.
