Let’s paint the future together.Coordinates and manages all engineering projects, concerning all the machines, utilities and buildings.Responsibilities Contractor Management1. To manage and facilitate contractors on site for external activities by ensuring issuing PTW system as well as arranging Safety induction as and when required assessing necessities and ensuring that the required skills are made available on site2. Authorize and participate in the selection External Contractors. Ensure that the appropriate documentation is in place before granting access to site for contractors and participate actively in the periodical review of approved contractors3. Chair the Site Specific Management of Change procedure meetings and act in a supervisory role, to ensure the procedure is observed and followed through. In this role the individual is also responsible for ensuring the necessary records re being kept for as long as required.Preventive Maintenance1. Define, categorize and record critical equipment based on existing Hazard Studies or recommendations contained within procedure 6.2. Performance root cause analysis, develop preventative maintenance plans and utilize predictive maintenance techniques to advise on appropriate maintenance planning on capital investments to ensure safety, quality, and reliability of site assets3. Roll out PPM schedule and liaise with the technician and production department to carry them out.4. Maintain critical spares and record the consumption on a monthly basis. Keep hard/soft copies of all the service checklists carried out by the contractors.HSE1. Personal compliance with all Site Rules and Procedures2. Compliance with all HSE and PPE instruction3. Adherence to BBS by attending the monthly steering committee meetings and doing observations as per the plans4. Attend the HSE committee, Site Management meetings and provide feedback on pending issues related to HSE & barriers removed during the observations carried out.5. To create relevant SOPs, RAs involved with engineering activities.6. Active participation in PHA on site.7. Execution of HIRA management procedure PSM and Asset Integrity1. Implement and follow effective management systems to ensure the engineering integrity of Plant and Equipment and Infrastructures.2. Make Specialist Professional Skills available on site to support the implementation of Asset Integrity and Process safety frameworks3. Define and agree the PSM metrics and measure them monthly. Reports to be shared with the site management team.Experience• Experienced (qualified) Process Engineer with an Engineering in Mechanical or Electrical• A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role in the manufacturing industry• Conversational command of spoken and written English.• Good communication skills, focused and organized, good team player with attention to quality & details, and strong leadership skills• Troubleshooting and Analytical capabilities• High knowledge of equipment and its operational settings.• High knowledge of site manufacturing processes• Proactive towards safety rules and measures in factory environment.• High knowledge of machines (mechanically and electrically).• Experience in scheduling PPM, and preparation of checklists• Experience in contractor management and Mo C• Handle Accidents/Incident investigation• Understanding of basic financial rules At Akzo Nobel we are highly committed to ensuring an inclusive and respectful workplace where all employees can be their best self.
