Ex-CBRE & Knight Frank MENARole Description: The Procurement Engineer is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring materials, machinery, and services required for the operation and maintenance of both the Batching Plant and GRC production facility. The ideal candidate will coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality procurement aligned with project and factory needs.Key Responsibilities: • Procure materials for Batching Plant operations including cement, aggregates, admixtures, and additives.• Source equipment and spare parts for mixers, batching machines, pumps, vibrators, curing systems, GRC spraying units, etc.• Review and interpret GRC product drawings, material specifications, and production schedules to determine procurement needs.• Source and procure raw materials such as white cement, sand, glass fiber, polymers, pigments, and Molds used in GRC manufacturing.• Strong knowledge of GRC materials, production processes, and technical requirements.• Evaluate proposals, analyze cost factors, and make recommendations on the most suitable subcontractors and vendors.• Prepare and issue RFQs, evaluate supplier quotations, and negotiate terms and conditions.• Maintain relationships with key vendors and continuously evaluate performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.• Coordinate with design, estimation, and project teams to understand material requirements and specifications.• Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project schedules.• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or delivery.• Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation for audits and reporting.• Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., ASTM, BS, EN) and supplier base in the Middle East / and other relevant regions.• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Qualification / Requirements: • bachelor’s degree in civil engineering/ mechanical or a related field.• Knowledge of GRC production processes and concrete batching operations is a strong advantage.• Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar procurement role within the construction industry.• Solid understanding of civil engineering items, equipment, and services.• Familiarity with procurement processes, including vendor selection, negotiation, and contract management.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier proposals and make data-driven decisions.• Excellent negotiation and communication skills to effectively collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders.• Proficiency in using procurement software and tools for tracking and managing procurement activities.• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.• Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines.• Knowledge of relevant regulations and standards in the construction industry.Seniority level Seniority level Associate Employment type Employment type Full-time Job function Job function Purchasing Industries Real Estate and Construction Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Azizi Developments by 2x Get notified about new Procurement Engineer jobs in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.Procurement and Logistics Sourcing Specialist Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates 9 hours ago Dubai, United Arab Emirates 28 minutes ago Procurement Engineer- Aluminum & Glass Factory We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
