Our entrepreneurship and relentless customer focus enable us to grow and expand, responding to the changing needs of our customers within the societies in which we operate.By upholding our values of respect, excellence, collaboration, and integrity, Al-Futtaim Group continues to enrich the lives and aspirations of our customers every day.Overview of the role: The Assistant Merchandiser - Lingerie is responsible for supporting the Senior Merchandiser and Merchandiser of the Business Unit (BU).He/She will produce reports, analyze these, and recommend actions.He/she will assist with planning and product selection for the BU catalogues and categories.He/she will also ensure trackers and data files are updated and maintained, and manage the allocation process.Key responsibilities include: Allocation Process: Manage accurate BTF setting Guide and train allocators Manage and implement AI Allocation solution from Invent Analytics Liaise with stores to understand regional needs Business Reports and Analysis: Generate accurate and clear reports Maintain reporting processes Generate promotion tracking Analyze weekly trade reports and recommend actions Report and flag best/worst sellers, analyze customer habits, and understand product choices Housekeeping of data Produce and analyze seasonal sales and recommend future buying strategies Catalogue Buying: Assist the Senior Merchandiser/Merchandiser in the catalogue buying process Maintain Core Buying sheet to calculate correct buying quantities, implementing Demand Planning solutions Data entry of buying quantities into IBT/Digital Range Building system Prepare planograms using DRBMake meaningful comparisons against last year, budget, and promotional calendar Contribute to BU strategy with awareness of market trends Show passion for the M&S brand and product appreciation Communication: Be the first point of contact for stores regarding stock issues Assist in weekly trade communications Contribute to planning for retail conferences Support digital transformation to ensure a seamless customer journey online and in-store Provide clear and accurate information for all business users Maintain good relationships with principals Ensure product data and descriptions online are customer-friendly Leading People: Work towards SMART objectives, understand strategic direction, and communicate effectively Provide coaching and development, working with HRBP on talent management Role model Al-Futtaim Way Behaviours and M&S Values Required Skills: Passion for products and knowledge of the M&S brand and heritage Confident team player Ability to handle complexity Attention to detail Highly numerate Product confidence Strong people management skills Graduate or equivalent Good knowledge of Excel and Microsoft applications Knowledge of SAP is an advantage Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred)3-4 years’ experience in fashion buying and merchandising at assistant or allocator level Experience in retail buying in MENA, Europe, or UK/European brands Ability to delight customers, manage complexity, influence others, take initiative, drive results, lead engagingly, and develop talent We aim to provide excellent service, and your support can help ensure a positive candidate experience from start to finish.Before applying, please carefully review the job description to demonstrate confidently why this opportunity is right for you, and craft a personalized CV to enhance your visibility.
