The main duties and responsibilities of this role: Assist Sous Chef in supervising kitchen staff and maintaining cooking standards.Help plan menus, create and test recipes, and attend daily meetings with Executive Sous Chef.Write accurate product specifications and standard recipes for system and material management use.Plan weekly staff rosters, monitor daily adjustments, and manage overtime, holidays, and absenteeism.Liaise with Chief Steward to maintain kitchen cleanliness and support smooth kitchen operations by optimizing resources.Coordinate training, motivate the team, cook as needed, and maintain Madinat Jumeirah quality standards.About You: The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications: UAE National with a Family Book as per government requirements.Two years of experience in the same role in a 5-star luxury property or a standalone/branded restaurant.Diploma in Catering required; Health & Safety certification preferred.Fluent in English, both oral and written.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products, Opera PMS (Cloud) and Hot So S.Aboutthe Benefits: We offer an attractive tax-free salary, paid in Dirhams (AED), the local currency of the UAE.
