Senior Technology Engineer - Data Platform (Banking Client)We are looking for a Senior Technology Engineer to join a leading UAE bank.The selected candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust, scalable, and secure Data Science Platform, enabling high-performance data workloads and supporting enterprise-grade analytics and AI use cases.You will work in an Agile + Dev Ops environment, collaborating with cross-functional squads to implement automation-first, cloud-native, and containerized infrastructure solutions.Key Responsibilities: Platform Engineering & Automation: Hands-on Tier-2 production experience with Cloudera platform including installation, upgrade, and maintenance; optimize Spark performance; design and implement CI/CD pipelines; develop automated workflows; automate security and compliance checks; implement observability tools.Infrastructure & Containerization: Build and manage containerized environments with Docker or Podman; deploy and manage Kubernetes/Open Shift solutions; perform automated patching; ensure high availability and scalability.Dev Ops & Agile Delivery: Collaborate with product teams; contribute to sprint planning; drive platform enhancements; deliver robust solutions.Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a technology evangelist; facilitate platform adoption; promote standardization; represent the platform in reviews.Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 8+ years in technology engineering roles, with at least 4 years in Hadoop (preferably Cloudera).Expertise in Cloudera, CI/CD tools, scripting languages, Linux, automation frameworks, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring.Nice to have: experience with Data Science platforms, public cloud, banking/finance domain.Behavioral Competencies: Self-starter, collaborative, calm under pressure, analytical, passionate about tech and innovation.Educational Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, IT, or related; work experience considered.Why Join?Be part of a digital transformation for a top-tier bank; work in Agile + Dev Ops; contribute to large-scale data initiatives; use the latest tech stack. #J-18808-Ljbffr
