With over 25,000 employees and a rapidly expanding portfolio of hospitals, labs, and digital health services, we are redefining healthcare delivery for millions across the region.About the Role : As Director, you will lead the evaluation and validation of external AI solutions to shape Pure Health’s long-term AI strategy. Reporting to the Executive Director of AI & Data, your focus will be identifying high-impact partnerships, conducting scientific due diligence, and aligning opportunities with Pure Health’s strategic goals. You will bridge the gap between innovation and implementation, ensuring AI investments are scientifically sound, data-compatible, and mission-aligned.Key Responsibilities : AI Scouting & Strategy : Identify and evaluate global healthcare AI vendors aligned with Pure Health’s data assets and strategic needs. Provide data-driven recommendations to the Corporate Strategy and Technology Offices.Scientific Due Diligence : Lead feasibility studies and research to assess the scientific validity, integration potential, and real-world performance of AI solutions.Research & Innovation : Collaborate with academic and tech partners on joint research initiatives and validation of emerging AI technologies.AI Evaluation Frameworks : Develop criteria to assess scientific credibility, data compatibility, privacy, ethical considerations, and ROI for AI investments.Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with leadership, clinical, and technical teams to align AI initiatives with organizational goals and strategy.Knowledge Sharing : Translate complex research into actionable insights, and present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Qualifications : Minimum Qualifications : Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Bioinformatics , or a related discipline.10+ years of experience in AI-related research and development , with at least 5+ years in a leadership role , with a proven track record of translating scientific research into practical applications and strategic recommendations in a healthcare setting .Strong understanding of various AI techniques (machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing, computer vision, etc.).Demonstrated experience in translating research insights into practical applications with measurable real-world impact.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts and data-driven insights to diverse audiences.Preferred Qualifications : Experience with publishing scientific research papers in leading journals or conferences.Prior experience in a research lab setting.Prior experience working in a healthcare, life science, or biotech setting.Experience with establishing research collaborations and partnerships across different regions.Experience working with large, complex healthcare datasets and an understanding of data governance principles.Experience in evaluating technology vendors and conducting due diligence .Why Join Us?Join a high-impact team working at the intersection of technology and healthcare transformation.
