Join to apply for the Manager - School Operations role at GEMS Education.The post holder will be fully responsible for effectively managing all non-education related activities within the school, including business operations.The incumbent will continuously strive to exceed internal & external customer expectations, capitalizing on economic profit and return on capital investment, while embracing the GEMS Core Values.To embody the values, vision, and ethos of GEMS Education and assist the Principal/CEO in delivering policies that ensure high quality and successful outcomes.Job Scope Responsibility for development, maintenance, safety, security, and cleanliness of the school building and grounds, ensuring facilities are available for school use and other users at all times.Organization and delivery of administration and support services across the school, ensuring efficient staff deployment and, with the Principal/CEO, recruitment of well-trained, high-quality staff.Providing advice and strategic guidance to the Principal/CEO, Senior Leadership, and the Corporate Office on business, financial, and operational matters, and being accountable for their effectiveness using performance management systems.Supporting staff with high-quality continuous professional development and training to contribute to the school's development and achievements.Supporting the Principal/CEO in achieving key strategic objectives through formulating and leading on specific aspects of the school’s business and improvement plans.Encouraging and leading environmental sustainability initiatives across the school site.Skills and Qualifications Minimum BA or equivalent diploma/certificate in School Business Management, Facilities Management, NEBOSH, or IOSH.Expected Experience: At least 5 years in a senior role within a service-oriented industry.Knowledge & Skills: Fluent in English, both written and oral.Attention to detail, diligent follow-up, and timely execution.Organizational skills, foresight, and planning, especially regarding compliance matters.Influencing skills, cultural sensitivity, and good interpersonal skills.Strong supervisory skills and commercial acumen.Willingness to go beyond typical work hours when needed.GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students and staff.
