Law Firm Accountant

Our client, an international law firm are wishing to recruit a qualified accountant with a minimum of two years experience in a law firm or professional services environment. You must already be based in Dubai.Main Responsibilities: Manage regional VAT filings and oversee corporate tax processes across regional offices.Respond to queries from regulatory bodies on tax assessments and liaise with tax auditors.Maintain the transfer pricing mechanism among regional offices, ensuring compliance and accuracy.Provide support to Payables and Revenue teams to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.Oversee Timekeeper rates and handle ad-hoc queries from Timekeepers, supporting their time recording and client information requirements.Assist in financial audits and ensure the implementation of audit recommendations.Required Experience, Skills, and Knowledge: Experience: Minimum of 2 years working with an accounting firm in the UAE. Prior experience in the service or legal industry is advantageous.Education: University Graduate or Post Graduate, with a major in Accounts preferred.Technical Skills: High proficiency in MS Excel and Power Point; familiarity with accounting platforms such as ELITE and 3E is an advantage.Language: Fluent in English, with strong communication skills (verbal and written).Key Competencies: Disposition: Gentle yet disciplined and firm in actions, capable of fostering a supportive environment while upholding standards.Results-Oriented: Demonstrates a strong commitment to meeting deadlines, especially during reporting periods.Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.Team Environment: Contributes positively to a team-oriented culture, aligned with the firm’s values.Confidence in Management Engagement: Able to interact confidently with senior management, providing insights and suggestions as needed.Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.Innovation: Possesses the ability to challenge established practices constructively and propose effective alternatives. #J-18808-Ljbffr
