More information is available on our website or Linked In.Role Overview As a Technical / Design Manager - Geotechnical, you will lead and manage the geotechnical design process throughout the project lifecycle. Collaborating with clients, design consultants, and stakeholders, you will ensure project objectives align with client requirements and expectations. You will support the Programme Director/Design Director or Senior Project Manager in delivering scope of work to both Atkins Ralis and client standards.Responsibilities: Lead and manage the geotechnical design team.Develop and review geotechnical reports, designs, and specifications.Conduct site investigations and analyze soil, rock, and groundwater conditions.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate geotechnical solutions.Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.Provide technical guidance during project execution.Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources related to geotechnical activities.Prepare and present technical reports to clients and regulatory bodies.Identify and mitigate geotechnical risks throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate with environmental consultants regarding environmental impacts.Develop innovative geotechnical solutions for performance and cost efficiency.Monitor geotechnical system performance during and after construction.Conduct training to enhance team skills.Participate in project meetings and provide expert advice.Ensure proper documentation of geotechnical data and reports.Stay updated with advancements in geotechnical engineering and incorporate best practices.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering (Master's preferred).PE license or equivalent.At least 15 years of geotechnical engineering experience, especially in the UAE.Strong knowledge of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundations.Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, Geo Studio, SLOPE/W).Excellent project management and leadership skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Experience with large-scale construction projects is advantageous.Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or related field.Experience with advanced testing methods and equipment.Knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability practices.Experience managing geotechnical aspects in diverse locations.Research or publications in geotechnical engineering.Membership in professional organizations (e.g., ASCE, ISSMGE).Proficiency in additional geotechnical software and modeling.Strong networking skills and stakeholder engagement ability.Additional Qualifications10-15 years of experience as a design manager on hospitality projects.Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture.LEED experience is beneficial.Previous regional experience, preferably in Saudi Arabia.Ability to work in a team and be client-facing.Active leadership style.Why Choose Atkins Ralis Tax-free salary Life and medical insurance Paid annual leave Company gratuity scheme Discretionary bonus Annual flight contribution Relocation assistance Transport and housing allowances Employee wellbeing programs Our Commitment We promote diversity and equal opportunity, ensuring an inclusive environment where everyone can thrive.
