Academic Counselor

Key Responsibilities: Provide academic advising and career counseling to students based on their goals and academic performance.Assist students in selecting courses and developing academic plans in line with graduation requirements.Monitor student progress and intervene with support strategies as needed.Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions.Coordinate with faculty and administration to address students academic or personal challenges.Stay updated on educational trends, degree programs, and institutional policies.Guide students through college admissions or transfer processes when applicable.Maintain accurate and confidential records of student interactions.Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Masters preferred).Proven experience as an academic or guidance counselor.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Familiarity with educational systems, assessment tools, and student information systems.Empathy and a genuine interest in student development. #J-18808-Ljbffr
