Engineering Maintenance Manager

Description JOBSUMMARYManagesall engineering/maintenance operations including maintaining thebuilding grounds and physical plant with particular attentiontowards safety security and asset protection. Accountable formanaging the budget capital expenditure projects preventativemaintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintainingregulatory requirements. Assists in leading the emergency responseteam for all facilityissues.CANDIDATEPROFILEEducationand Experience High schooldiploma or GED; 3 years experience in the engineering andmaintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.OR2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction Engineering Mechanics or related major; 1 yearexperience in the engineering and maintenance or relatedprofessional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.COREWORKACTIVITIESManaging Electrical maintenance operations at the Resort Managing Engineering Operations and Budgets Manages the physicalplant including equipment refrigeration HVAC plumbing watertreatment and electrical systems.Ensuresregulatory compliance to facility regulations and safetystandards.Manages and controls heat light andpower and recommends current best methods for energy conservationand economical facility operations.Developsspecifications and requirements for service contracts andadministers such contracts to support buildingneeds.Distributes preventive maintenance andrepair work orders and monitors timeliness and quality ofcompletion.Oversees and directs the maintenanceof grounds guestrooms public space restaurants property vehiclesand recreational facilities.Develops a longterm plan for preventative maintenance and asset protection andoverseeing execution of plan.Develops projectplans in accordance with renovation or new constructionneeds.Contacts contractors for bids andsupervising construction to ensure timely completion of projectswithin budgetary guidelines.Builds positiverelationships with external customers such as city building/zoningdepartment fire prevention bureau and vendors.Ensures fire crew has complete understanding of all proceduresequipment and alarms.Performs monthly propertyinspection to ensure buildings and grounds are maintained inexcellent condition.Conducts guest room andcommon area inspection to ensure guestsatisfaction.Inspects and evaluates thephysical condition of facilities in order to determine the type ofwork required.Recommends or arranges foradditional services such as painting repair work renovations andthe replacement of furnishings and equipment.Selects and orders or purchasing new equipment supplies andfurnishings.Manages parts and equipmentinventory.Maintaining Property Standards Ensuresbuilding and equipment licenses and certifications arecurrent.Maintains property life safety systems(fire fighting equipment sprinkler systems and alarmsystems).Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service Displays leadership in guest hospitality exemplifying excellentcustomer service and creating a positive atmosphere for guestrelations.Reviews comment cards guestsatisfaction results and other data to identify areas ofimprovement.Shares plans with propertyleadership and ensuring corrective action is taken to continuouslyimprove guest satisfaction.Strives to improveserviceperformance.At Marriott International we arededicated to being an equal opportunity employer welcoming all andproviding access to opportunity.
