Mechanical Engineer (Sewage Treatment Plant)

Description Stantec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a Sewage Treatment Plant Project in Dubai.This project involves rehabilitating an existing Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) to enhance its efficiency and expanding its capacity to approximately 435,000 m3/day. The selected candidate should have extensive experience with local sewage treatment facilities, including managing construction works and optimizing operational processes within existing STPs according to specifications.The responsibilities include: Rehabilitation and repair of civil works Extension of the plant capacity to around 175,000 m3/day Rehabilitation of the existing 260,000 m3/day STPQualifications The ideal candidate must possess: A relevant degree from a recognized university At least 15 years of experience with equipment and control systems in sewage treatment plants Thorough knowledge of work systems within Dubai Municipality sewage treatment plants Experience with mechanical, electrical equipment, and instrumentation within STPs and pumping stations Experience in designing infrastructure works Experience handling emergency works and coordinating with Dubai Municipality and other authorities Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Primavera 3Excellent communication skills in English Decision-making capabilities#LI-Middle East #J-18808-Ljbffr
