Job Description We are seeking for a Head of English with experience in teaching British Curriculum for KS 3 to 5, join our team in August 2025.As Head of English, you will: Lead and manage a team of dedicated English teachers.Develop and implement an engaging, ambitious, and inclusive English curriculum.Drive high standards of teaching, learning, and student achievement.Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and professional development within the department.Ensure effective use of resources and lead the development of English facilities.Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school initiatives and priorities.Skills The ideal candidate will be: An experienced and qualified English teacher with a strong track record of success.Passionate about English education and able to inspire students of all abilities.A proven leader with the ability to motivate and develop a team.Skilled in curriculum development and innovative teaching methods.Experienced with IGCSE and A Level exam boards.Committed to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.Proficient in effective communication and collaboration.Innovative in their approach to teaching and learning.GEMS Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all of its students and staff.
