Description

• Assists the Registered Nurse in planning, implementing and evaluating patient care.• Is familiar with, and understands, the Severe Care Domains of DOH.• Monitors the impact of nursing care and maintains ongoing communication with the Registered Nurse regarding the status of patients in their care.• Demonstrates an understanding and utilization of Evidenced-Based Healthcare.• Advocates in the best interest of the patient and family at all times.• Provides education to the family regarding aspects of care as appropriate.• Demonstrates an ability to assist physicians/therapists with procedures.• Demonstrates the ability to be flexible, organized and function under stressful situations.• Adheres to dress code; appearance is professional, neat and clean.• Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.• Reports to work on time and as scheduled, completes work within designated time.• Is responsible to maintain up to date clinical knowledge and self-directed ongoing education.• Completes annual education requirements.
