Technician - Production

FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIESPerform pre-preparation tasks for mould changing in order to ensure minimum mould changing time.Load the mould efficiently as per the standing operating procedures (SOP) given and set the machine and the process as per the product specification.Contribute to achieving production targets through effective process control.Observe active machines to identify abnormalities in machine operation and take corrective action if required.Carry out cleaning/maintenance of change parts and mould accessories after production runs and ensure proper storage with identification.Ensure cleaning of material handling equipment is carried out at regular intervals.Check the mould moving parts, lubricate them, and maintain a daily record of the same.Perform minor maintenance as required and provide assistance in general maintenance if needed.Perform in-process quality checks which require accurate machine and process setting to obtain production efficiency.Verify the accuracy of product specifications and ensure Quality personnel and Production supervisors' approval on production data sheets during mould and job changes.Maintain the mould history cards and report to the Supervisor and/or Production Executive if any work needs to be carried out.Observe safety precautions on priority, especially during mould changes, and be vigilant to identify potential hazards and take necessary measures to avoid any calamities.Follow company HSE guidelines in respect of all operations undertaken.Observe SOP being followed by personnel on the shop floor and provide on-job training to ensure strict compliance with policies and procedures.Train, mentor, and provide direction to machine operators on equipment processes and procedures.Perform any other job/task given by the Production Supervisor to accomplish department objectives.Requirements Education/Qualifications ITISpecial training preferably in Plastic production.Age factor maximum 35 years.Experience Minimum of 2-4 years of technical experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in industrial products, plastic, and/or packaging.At least 5-6 years of hands-on experience in the plastic manufacturing industry (in case there is no ITI qualification).Functional Skills & Specific Knowledge Knowledge of production processes.Knowledge of mould changing/setting.Knowledge and experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment preferred.Knowledge of related machines and their operation preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
