Teams meet in person 2-4 times a year in interesting locations worldwide to align on strategy and execution. We are hiring a Junior Project Manager. Our mission is to streamline and accelerate the adoption of open source across the global enterprise technology market. Our Project Managers are responsible for ensuring project success by owning, driving, communicating, and engaging all stakeholders with integrity and accountability. The role entails: Ensuring programs and projects are delivered within schedule, scope, cost, budget, and resources expectations. Supporting the identification of key technical and project risks and issues, and implementing mitigating actions. Maintaining strong customer focus and working with all stakeholders to achieve successful outcomes. Assisting in conducting regular status meetings and business reviews with customers. Supporting the delivery schedule of critical third-party deliverables. Advocating for Canonical's portfolio of technologies to customers. What we are looking for in you: An exceptional academic record in science, software engineering, or information technology. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. A solution-oriented mindset and leadership skills demonstrated through school or university activities. Passion for technology, evidenced by personal projects. Professional approach and effective negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively and respect diverse perspectives. Willingness to travel internationally twice a year for up to two weeks.
