Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant Manager Dubai Permanent Ongoing Job Summary The Supply Chain & Logistics Assistant Manager oversees the coordination and optimization of supply chainoperations. The position is responsible for supporting the Supply Chain General Manager in various tasks andthis role involves managing inventory, monitoring transportation, and ensuring efficient logistics processes. Therole demands a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to navigate and resolve logisticalchallenges effectively.Role & Responsibilities1. Support in developing and implementing Logistics plans in line with corporate Logistics strategy tosupport overall business objectives.2. Handle operations related to logistics - KPI, inventory, transport, Integration of information & customerrequirements.3. Assist in evaluating the performance of vendors and make recommendations for improvements.4. Establish and maintain relationships with logistics service providers, assist in negotiating contracts andensuring cost-effectiveness while implementing 3rd part logistics performance measurements.5. Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimum inventory levels at all times with key focus toavoid aging inventory situation.6. Implement inventory control measures to minimize damages during storage, transportation and ensureaccurate record-keeping.7. Oversee preparation and maintenance of shipping and customs documentation while ensuringcompliance with international customs regulations for EXIM.8. Maintain accurate records of shipments, tracking information, and other relevant logistics data.9. Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop strategies to mitigate them by proactivelyaddressing issues related to transportation, customs, and other logistics challenges.10. Supervise and lead a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance by conducting regular trainingsessions to enhance the skills of the logistics team.11. Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency of the logistics operations with proven ability toresolve critical issues to ensure highest level of customer satisfaction.12. Responsible for multiple customer accounts including management and improvement of servicesprovided to distributors / customers.Qualifications and Education Requirements Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.Proven experience in logistics and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a supervisoryrole.Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, warehousing andinventory management.Excellent communication with strong analytical, planning and organizing skills.Proficiency in logistics software (Microsoft Dynamics) and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
