Fire Chief

The ideal candidate should have: B.Sc. Degree in Engineering (in a related discipline preferred)10 to 20 years of experience, with at least 3 years in the Oil & Gas sector preferred.Experience in a position equal to or higher than Fire Chief.Supervisory experience is a must.Effective communication skills (Fluency in English) and excellent computer knowledge.Responsibilities: Assist on all fire safety matters and contribute to the development of site strategy and implementation of effective fire prevention processes, procedures, and systems.Manage daily activities within the Fire Safety premises and coach Firefighters on daily duties, familiarization on applicable procedures and SOPs, with support from Fire Safety coordinators. Ensure and maintain firefighter operational skills, competence, and fitness through daily exercises, simulated incidents, courses, and other forms of training.Ensure proper maintenance and servicing of fire safety equipment, emergency vehicles, and monitor periodic inspections and record keeping.Participate in the periodic testing of fixed firefighting installations at production plants and automatic fire detection systems at company facilities.Design, develop, benchmark, and deliver effective training workshops (classroom, face-to-face, ward-based, etc.) for all staff, including contractors.Plan, observe, assess, and report on regular fire drills for all premises occupied by company staff.Ensure sufficient numbers of trained fire wardens for each area within each building and facility.Support and advise on Aviation normal operations fire safety standby requirements, assist with any Aviation emergencies, participate in aviation drills, and develop and review related emergency response plans and strategies. #J-18808-Ljbffr
