Material Engineer

We are passionate about building lasting relationships with our partners and clients to deliver extraordinary social and economic outcomes.About the Role : The Material Engineer ensures that all materials used in infrastructure projects meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and safety. Responsibilities include conducting QA/QC site and system monitoring, inspecting and supervising material-related works, and laboratory testing. The Material Engineer reports findings and recommendations to the Quality Manager for approval and further action.Conduct daily site activity monitoring to ensure compliance with related documentation.Oversee the delivery, storage, and usage of materials on site.Monitor works to ensure they adhere to design specifications.Ensure all parties comply with project requirements.Assist the PMC Operations Team with method statements, ITP, and material reviews.Participate in punch lists, testing, commissioning, monitoring, and verification.Attend meetings to discuss site quality issues.Track QA progress, identify issues, and monitor trends, including Quality Alerts.Provide weekly and ad hoc quality reports to the Quality and Project Managers.Have experience with landscape, roads, sewerage, water, irrigation, and stormwater materials.Be familiar with project drawings, specifications, health and safety measures, and updates.Ensure contractor compliance with standards and specifications.Maintain records of contractor resources.Undertake site supervision and inspections as instructed by the Resident Engineer (RE) or Assistant Resident Engineer (ARE).Coordinate with contractors to manage resources, safety, and equipment.Prepare daily reports including work orders, materials, and inspections.Follow site instructions from RE and ARE.Apply and enforce quality controls and procedures.Prepare site measurements and surveying checks.Coordinate site inspections with the client project manager.Assist in preparing correspondence per contract and site requirements.Work with RE or ARE to resolve site issues promptly.Monitor startup, commissioning, and handover, maintaining project milestone records.Maintain records of material tests and works performed.Conduct inspections to ensure conformity with contract documents and plans.Our commitment to you We support your needs by providing tools for your best work, recognizing achievements, encouraging curiosity, investing in new ideas, and fostering collaboration across our global team.Interested?
