Join or sign in to find your next job Join to apply for the Operations Supervisor role at Amazon Description To help us maintain our high standards of service, we are seeking an experienced and accomplished Logistics Supervisor to drive both innovation and execution in our busy Transportation network.Your Responsibilities Support the overall, daily management of operational duties, deputizing for the Operations Manager when required.Prioritize and continually improve safety at the delivery station.Supervise logistics assistants, coordinators, and delivery associates to ensure shipments meet and exceed operational KPIs.Monitor performance and coach team members; collaborate with supporting departments to improve logistics processes.Communicate with delivery service providers to set expectations and enhance quality.Interview candidates for associate roles.Brief and monitor workload of drivers and associates; ensure administrative tasks are completed accurately.Measure and monitor workflows and metrics; assist with tracking and reporting site performance.Train and mentor new associates, providing necessary knowledge for their tasks.Follow-up on and resolve process-related issues; perform physical activities such as pushing carts and lifting packages.Work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.Resource your team from a personal standpoint, including training, absence management, coaching, and productivity monitoring.Key job responsibilities Make shift plans (Receive/Dock/Stow)Manage associates and achieve productivity and quality goals Implement Kaizens Develop mechanisms for smooth overall flow Basic Qualifications Experience in warehouse operations and logistics1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends, nights, and holidays Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical activities during shifts Work 40 hours/week plus overtime as required Preferred Qualifications Experience with planning, performance metrics, and process improvement Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
