Description
The Nurse Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the nursing department, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered efficiently and effectively. The Nurse Manager will lead, supervise, and mentor nursing staff, maintain compliance with healthcare regulations, and foster a positive and collaborative working environment.Key Responsibilities: Leadership & Staff Management: Supervise and provide leadership to nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care.Conduct performance appraisals and provide coaching, support, and professional development opportunities for staff.Ensure adequate staffing levels and manage scheduling, taking into account patient care needs and budget constraints.Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of patient care plans.Ensure that nursing practices align with evidence-based standards and organizational protocols.Monitor patient outcomes and address any concerns related to patient care or satisfaction.Compliance & Quality Control: Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and hospital policies.Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and nursing practices.Oversee infection control measures, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, therapists, and support staff, to provide coordinated and comprehensive care.Serve as a liaison between nursing staff, management, and patients/families.Communicate effectively to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues that arise.Assist in budget planning and resource allocation to ensure efficient and cost-effective use of materials and supplies.Monitor and control departmental expenses to remain within budget.Professional Development: Stay current with nursing practices, industry trends, and regulatory changes.Promote ongoing education and training for nursing staff to ensure continuous improvement in patient care delivery.Qualifications: Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master’s in Nursing (MSN) or related field preferred.Licensure: Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in (State).Experience: Minimum of (X) years of clinical nursing experience, with at least (X) years in a supervisory or leadership role.Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.In-depth knowledge of nursing practices, patient care protocols, and healthcare regulations.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems. #J-18808-Ljbffr
