Electrical Systems Engineer

Job Title: Electrical System Engineer As an Electrical System Engineer at Orbitworks' Solutions Engineering Team, you will work on multiple satellite missions simultaneously, each with a unique, multi-payload configuration. Your role will be to ensure the successful power and command protocol integration of the payloads to the bus, leveraging Loft’s products. You will collaborate across various teams including satellite electrical configuration, payload interface software, mission engineering, and AIT.About this Role: Develop and maintain technical power budgets for spacecraft performance in collaboration with other teams and customers.Develop and manage electrical requirements and verification techniques with both internal teams and customers.Support test procedures and participate in integration and test campaigns at the spacecraft manufacturer's site.Must Haves: Enjoy representing the electrical technical requirements and working with a team to deliver quality hardware.Knowledge of bus protocols such as Space Wire, CAN, and RS-422 specifications.Understanding of power allocation and distribution systems, including fault tolerance and derating considerations.Familiarity with various satellite subsystems (Thermal, Structural, ADCS, RF Link, etc.).Nice to Haves: Experience in small satellite assembly, integration, and test campaigns.Experience working in a fast-paced development environment.Prior experience delivering a spacecraft to orbit and/or space-qualified hardware to a customer.About Orbitworks: Orbitworks' mission is to simplify space for organizations deploying physical and virtual missions.
