Today, through its range of Gen AI-driven products and solutions, Presight is bringing Applied AI to the private and public sector, enabling them to realize their AI strategy and ambitions faster.Position Overview: The Principal Technical Architect (Big Data)will serve as the strategic technical leader, responsible for designing, validating, and implementing robust and scalable architectures for our data analytics and AI solutions. The role will involve close collaboration with product, engineering, and sales teams to ensure alignment between business objectives and technology solutions.Responsibilities Key Responsibilities: Define and enforce data architecture and standards and best practices to ensure quality, scalability, performance, and data integrity.Perform technical assessments to determine hardware requirements and sizing for big data workloads (storage, compute, networking).Design robust and scalable data ingestion, transformation, and storage pipelines using modern big data technologies.Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical oversight of data engineering teams to ensure efficient implementation on client’s sites.Collaborate with platform core development team as subject matter expert on the enhancing data management and processing components – identify the gaps and improvements, create feature requests, evaluate the new releases, code review.Comply with QHSE (Quality Health Safety and Environment), Business Continuity, Information Security, Privacy, Risk, Compliance Management, and Governance of Organizations policies, procedures, plans, and related risk assessments.Qualifications Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.Master's is preferred.Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience working in data intensive projects as Big Data Engineer / Architect role.Strong expertise in big data modelling and architecture best practices, proficiency in designing scalable data pipelines and integration workflows.Excellent knowledge of modern big data methodologies and technologies including ingestion, batch and streaming processing, storage and querying. (Spark, Kafka, Trino, Clickhouse, S3… or similar)Experience estimating hardware and infrastructure sizing for various analytics workloads.Skills: Solid computer science fundamentals, fluent in SQL and one of the general programming languages (Java, Python)Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications: Software development experience – familiarity with product development lifecycle, hands on coding/code review skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, TOGAF).Experience with big data technologies and analytics platforms (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Databricks, Snowflake).Experience in a customer-facing technical role, providing technical guidance during sales cycles or customer engagements.Join us at Presight, where we offer a culture of innovation, outstanding career growth opportunities, and competitive rewards.
