Description
The purpose of this position is to plan and design the inside services plant (ISP) telecommunication cabling solution for the Fixed Network Infrastructure in order to support various projects of du that involve fixed network roll-out, fixed network expansion, fixed network migration, and fixed & mobile network integration. The job requires excellent analytical and engineering capabilities that will provide the optimum benefit for the company in terms of deploying the best building telecom infrastructure design and providing accurate ISP cost forecast and budget plan.Description Evaluate, review and issue No Objection (NOC) based on the submitted building design layouts and technical documents by the project developer and owner consultants and contractors, in order to assure the technical compliance to du specifications and approved government standards for telecommunications.Meet with project developers, owners, consultants, principal contractors, and stakeholders aiming to align the buildings' architectural, civil, mechanical, structural, and electrical designs with the telecommunication standard requirements and specifications.Evaluate, select and recommend ISP cabling materials that conform to du standards and specifications based on the latest and relevant telecommunication access technologies involving GPON, FTTX, and point-to-point fiber.Manage GIS information update using GIS Network Engineer to build and update GIS database related to building infrastructure and building unit layers. Responsible for generating unique GIS ID for all building entities and associated building unit details.Plan & design ISP telecommunication cabling for all projects related to building ISP and plot access development, which includes but is not limited to fixed network rollout, fixed network expansion, GPON migration, mobile backhauling, and government initiative projects such as TAAWUN, Smart City, Dubai Metro, and other major projects under UAE government initiatives.Provide support to du business and commercial teams to expand du fixed network coverage in the UAE.Work regularly with government entities such as Telecommunication Regulatory and Digital Authority (TDRA), Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Fujairah, UAQ, and Abu Dhabi Municipalities and Abu Dhabi QSS authority to establish, develop & upgrade the building passive infrastructure specifications & standards, which include the common building telecom specifications manual in cooperation with other telecom service providers.Coordinate, attend meetings, and forums with other telecommunication service providers and other Emirates authorities to seek better solutions and discuss initiatives for passive infrastructure development that will benefit the UAE telecom sectors.Prepare reports and present technical updates to higher management to highlight the projects' development and status in terms of design solutions, cost analysis, forecasts, and recommendations.Qualification BE/DCEMinimum 05 Years of experience Must have Valid Driving License #J-18808-Ljbffr
