Application Engineer for Autonomous Systems Applications: UAV and Robotics As an Application Engineer, you will be working with innovative companies in the aerospace/defence, oil/gas, communications, automation, and machinery industries. You will be responsible for: Contributing to the marketing and sales of Math Works’ sophisticated engineering products.Assisting in the development of components of software product models and simulations to demonstrate the use of Math Works’ MATLAB and Simulink products.Developing components of technical engineering demonstrations of Math Works’ Simulink and MATLAB products to support the company’s sales activities.Assisting senior team members in engagements with prospective and existing customers to understand their workflow and identify relevant Math Works engineering solutions.Developing application examples and simulations to demonstrate how Math Works engineering software addresses customer needs.Minimum Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Robotics) and 5 years of professional work experience is required.3+ years of experience in UAV, Ux V (Uncrewed Systems), or autonomous systems development, ideally using MATLAB & Simulink.Solid understanding of control systems, guidance & navigation, sensor fusion, and/or perception systems.Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills in English.Proficiency with MATLAB and Simulink, including toolboxes such as: Robotics System Toolbox UAV Toolbox Navigation Toolbox Experience with simulation and testing workflows, including: Demonstrated expertise in model-based design using MATLAB and Simulink tools, including modeling, simulating, and analyzing design, testing, and deployment workflows.Knowledge of code generation tools such as Embedded Coder, Simulink Coder, and GPU Coder.Familiarity with ROS/ROS2, PX4 or Ardu Pilot, and integration of real-time systems or hardware platforms.Exposure to DO-178C, ISO 26262, or other relevant aerospace/autonomous safety standards.Experience with AI/ML workflows in MATLAB for vision, classification, or decision systems.Familiarity with Simulink Requirements and Simulink Test for system verification/validation.Daily activities include: Technical engagement with customers to understand their project requirements and workflows, and then recommend Math Works technical capabilities.Prepare and deliver technical presentations and demonstrate application examples (onsite visits, seminars, etc.).Work with sales and marketing teams to create strategies for different accounts and markets.Execute in-depth technical engagements with customers evaluating Math Works products.Provide technical support for customers using MATLAB, Simulink, and the entire suite of products.How to apply Share your CV together with the answer to the below screening questions and send it to jobs@cesimulations.com.
