JPC - 4809 - HSE & Welfare Engineer Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE Job Type: 2-year renewable contract (35/28 rotation) Experience: 6+ years Education: Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering or Equivalent Certification: NEBOSH HSE Certification or Diploma Valid UAE Driving Licenses Job Summary Coordinate and supervise the site HSE and Welfare inspection and assurance process to ensure compliance with all HSE and Welfare rules, regulations, and procedures according to Company Policy and ADNOC codes of practice. This includes enhancing training programs, raising personnel awareness of safety and welfare, environmental protection, and investigating/reporting all industrial accidents and safety equipment malfunctions. The role also involves active participation in process safety barriers assurance and reinforcement. Key Responsibilities Supervise the activities of assigned personnel and perform supervisory functions as established by management. Conduct Safety Inspections as per the approved program to identify hazards and unsafe practices and conditions. Investigate and report on accidents and verify the proper functioning of safety equipment. Investigate incidents and near misses, and generate detailed reports. Ensure regular inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of all compressed air breathing apparatus and resuscitation equipment. Plan and prepare for hot-work, naked flame, and radiography activities, including work permit signing and site checks. Participate in and provide safety input during Task Risk Assessments, ensuring mitigation measures are in place and hazards are communicated to personnel. Perform spot checks on safety awareness through Toolbox Talks, assessing content and team understanding. Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Science / Engineering or Equivalent NEBOSH HSE Certification or Diploma 6–8 years of HSE experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry Strong interpersonal and coordination skills Effective communication skills Attention to detail, analytical skills, and decision-making ability Valid UAE Driving License Additional Details Seniority level: Mid-Senior level Employment type: Full-time Job function: Management and Manufacturing Industry: Oil and Gas #J-18808-Ljbffr
