Experience in a similar role such as a Technical Account Manager, Consultant, Solutions Architect, Platform Engineer, Systems Engineer, or Cloud Architect. - Understanding of operational parameters and troubleshooting for Compute, Storage, Networking, CDN, Databases, Dev Ops, Big Data and Analytics, Security, and Applications Development. - Internal enterprise or external customer-facing experience with the ability to clearly articulate to small and large audiences. - Ability to juggle tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. - Customer obsession. The Role An AWS Technical Account Manager is a trusted advisor and cloud operations architect for our Enterprise Support customers. As a trusted advisor, you'll have a direct impact in helping our customers gain the most value from cloud technology. You will craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption and use of AWS services, including products like EC2, S3, Dynamo DB & RDS databases, Lambda, Cloud Front CDN, Io T, and more. Our Technical Account Managers partner with some of the most iconic businesses in the country, ranging from rising startups to large enterprises undergoing significant transformation. You will provide advice on architecture, support strategy, project and launch planning, as well as ongoing operational issues. Key job responsibilities Responsibilities include: Advising on solutions, providing technical guidance, and advocating for the customer. Ensuring AWS environments remain operationally healthy while reducing cost and complexity. Developing trusting relationships with customers, understanding their business needs and technical challenges. Driving technical discussions regarding incidents, trade-offs, and risk management using your technical acumen and customer obsession. Consulting with a range of partners from developers to C-suite executives. Collaborating with AWS Solutions Architects, Business Developers, Professional Services Consultants, and Sales Account Managers. Proactively finding opportunities for customers to gain additional value from AWS. Providing detailed reviews of service events, monthly & quarterly metrics, and pre-launch planning. Solving a variety of problems as customers migrate workloads to the cloud. Uplifting customer capabilities through workshops, brown bag sessions, etc. Desired Candidate Profile - Professional experience with cloud offerings such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc. - Programming or scripting skills with Java, Python, Perl, Ruby, C#, PHP are a plus but not required. - Previous experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, or Dev Ops Engineer. - Understanding of Dev Ops practices and tools including Continuous Integration/Deployment, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, Chef is a plus.
