VACANCIES/ Telecom Engineer ( with Io T experienced) Telecom Engineer ( with Io T experienced) Business Unit: ICT Job Description: The Telecom Engineer with Io T Experience will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining telecommunication systems that integrate Internet of Things (Io T) technologies. The role involves managing telecommunication infrastructure, optimizing network performance for Io T devices, and working closely with Io T solutions to ensure seamless connectivity and data transmission. The engineer will play a key role in supporting the business’s telecommunication needs in the context of emerging Io T technologies and networks. ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Design and maintain telecommunications systems, including wired and wireless networks. Ensure the infrastructure can support a high volume of Io T devices across multiple locations. Plan, deploy, and manage Io T solutions across the telecom network. Ensure reliable and secure connectivity for Io T devices using telecom protocols. Configure and troubleshoot communication modules in Io T devices (e.g., LTE, 5G, Lo Ra, NB-Io T). Maintains relationships with selected for Telecom hardware & software for proper handling & support of telecom equipment/services. Builds and maintains effective relationships with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/objectives in network monitoring, availability, and growth. Responsible for the maintenance of Telecom systems & equipment at the Group’s sites. Performs on-site/remote technical support of Telecom Systems and equipment. Evaluates existing Telecom systems, and proposes possible improvements initiates and handles Telecom projects, and ensures compliance with requirements, specifications, and deadlines. Initiates Telecom policies and ensures enforcing them. Maintains proper documentation of Telecom network. Supervises the employed Telecom technicians. Supervises the outsourced Telecom support. Maintains a working knowledge of Telecom switching and monitoring systems. Possesses in-depth technical knowledge in Telecom network & technical support to ensure reliable service delivery and security and resolve any business disruption or inconvenience to users. Optimize the telecom network to handle Io T traffic and ensure high performance and low latency for Io T applications. Monitor and manage the scalability of Io T devices connected to the network. Perform capacity planning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and resources for Io T devices. Implement and maintain security protocols and standards to protect Io T networks from vulnerabilities and threats. Ensure compliance with security regulations and data privacy policies in Io T solutions. Work closely with Io T development teams, software engineers, and business units to ensure seamless integration of Io T solutions within the telecom network. Provide ongoing support for troubleshooting and resolving telecom and Io T-related issues. Set up and maintain network monitoring systems for Io T devices and services. Create reports and dashboards on network performance, uptime, and device status. Stay updated with the latest telecom and Io T technologies and industry trends. Minimum Qualifications: REQUIRED COMPETENCIES In-depth knowledge of telecom protocols (e.g., LTE, 5G, NB-Io T, Lo Ra WAN). Hands-on experience with Io T platforms and devices, such as sensors, gateways, and actuators. Understanding of IP networking, wireless communication standards, and RF technologies. Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, Net Flow). Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Io T, Azure Io T) for Io T device management. Security Skills: Knowledge of telecom and Io T security practices, including encryption protocols, access control, and network segmentation. EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Science, or related fields. Certifications in telecom and networking (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Io T Specialization) are preferred.#J-18808-Ljbffr
