We are seeking an Elementary School Kindergarten 2 teacher who is passionate about education and dedicated to nurturing the minds of our students.At GEMS American Academy in Abu Dhabi, we strive to create a vibrant and inclusive learning environment where all students can thrive.This city offers a great lifestyle and extensive travel opportunities around the region.Main Responsibilities: To uphold excellence, innovation, and global citizenship in teaching and student interactions by embodying GEMS Core Values.To design engaging lessons that meet curriculum standards, adapting to diverse learning styles and individual student needs.To maintain accurate records of planning, assessments, and attendance, ensuring policies and codes of conduct are followed.To utilize media and technology effectively in the classroom to enhance learning experiences.To promote student progress and well-being through academic guidance and cultural awareness.To collaborate with colleagues to develop teaching resources and contribute to school programs.To communicate regularly with parents to keep them informed of student progress, upholding confidentiality where required.To participate in staff meetings, school events, and extra duties as needed, demonstrating commitment beyond the standard workday.Key Qualifications: A BEd or Bachelors degree with PGCE / PGDE or equivalent in relevant specialism.Proven experience of teaching Inclusion, ideally within an IB or American Curriculum School.Experience teaching at Elementary/Lower School level.Exemplary teaching practices.Excellent interpersonal skills to work closely with colleagues, students, and parents.A proven track record of providing outstanding learning & teaching.GEMS teachers enjoy an excellent lifestyle, free schooling for one child, private medical insurance, annual airfares to their country of residence, and end-of-service gratuity.
