Senior Commercial Manager - Risk and Compliance Specialist

Job Overview: This role oversees contract commercial management tasks for a business unit, focusing on managing contracts and related activities in accordance with the company's framework.Key Objectives: Ensure all contract-related tasks align with the company's strategic objectives.Manage risks and change requests to minimize exposure.Maintain accurate financial reporting and compliance with contractual obligations.Responsibilities: Transition Management Coordinate handovers from pre- to post-contract award to ensure contracts are well understood by project team members.Analyze contract remuneration mechanisms and set up delegation of authority (DOA).Post-Award Contract Administration and Compliance Establish procedures for strict adherence to contract terms.Maintain detailed documentation and handle responsibilities from initiating notices.Oversee maintenance of contract-required deliverables, including guarantees and insurances.Risk Management Gain thorough understanding of identified risks during capture/acquire phases.Review and validate risks alongside mitigations included within the contract.Actively monitor and manage evolving project risks through regular risk reviews.Change Management Gain comprehensive understanding of contractual change mechanisms.Establish change management protocol to comply with contractual terms.Negotiate favorable outcomes for change orders.Procurement and Subcontracting Ensure third-party agreements comply with contractual obligations.Provide assistance on subcontractor performance evaluation.Financial and Cash Flow Management Enforce adherence to 'cash must-do's' and manage cash flow.Monitor project returns and contingencies.Project Monitoring and Reporting Attend project management reviews and evaluate project metrics against benchmarks.Prepare reports for senior management detailing commercial performance.Commercial Closeout Lead commercial closeout processes, including defects liability period.Support resolution of claims, variations, and disputes.
