Expeditor Assistant Job Description This role involves working closely with internal teams to ensure material availability and respond promptly to queries. Key responsibilities include sourcing and procuring key materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials.Reporting to the Expeditor Lead, this role is responsible for executing the commodity strategy, managing supplier interactions, and resolving routine supply issues. The Expeditor Assistant will work in a fast-paced environment and be committed to optimizing supply chain performance.Key Responsibilities: Purchase order placement and management Raising and managing purchase orders according to company processes and agreed terms Ensuring timely ordering to meet project schedules and avoid supply disruptions Liaising with suppliers to confirm order acceptance, delivery dates, and resolve order queries Maintaining accurate order data and supporting reporting requirements Supplier communication and support Acting as a first-line contact for day-to-day supplier interactions under the guidance of the Expeditor Lead Following up on open orders, expediting where necessary, and communicating delivery updates to stakeholders Supporting the collection and collation of supplier documentation, including COCs, Ro HS/REACH declarations, and compliance certificates Procurement process and compliance Ensuring adherence to procurement policies, ethical sourcing principles, and delegated authority limits Supporting the execution of RFQs and assisting in the evaluation of supplier responses Maintaining clean procurement records and ensuring audit readiness of transactions Required Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 1 year of experience in P2P Procurement and Supply Chain in the Defense, Aerospace, or Oil and Gas Industry Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail in pricing, quantities, and lead times Working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems such as SAPAbility to raise and manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and resolve routine supply issues Effective written and verbal communication skills for working with suppliers and internal teams Awareness of basic negotiation principles and willingness to support or learn commercial discussions Benefits: This role offers opportunities for personal development and growth in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
