Senior Quality Assurance Specialist

We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance professional to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This position is required to coordinate the day-to-day development, maintenance, and execution of quality compliance programs at our facility. You will facilitate implementation within the Middle East region of new quality programs, report on compliance with existing programs.Job Responsibilities Implement and maintain quality management processes, complying with all applicable requirements.Ensure the organization delivers consistent and profitable growth through the application and continuous improvement of quality management systems.Provide professional QA/QC support to operational business units ensuring the maintenance of a quality management system and application of organizational quality policies.Execute day-to-day QC activities in workshops and provide technical assistance on site.Support sending equipment for calibration and maintaining equipment registers.Coordinate in-house calibration activities in workshops.Control workshop inspection activities with quality and production engineers.Review quality documents, procedures, GA drawings, final documentation, etc., on a daily basis and issue certificates of conformance/compliance for all jobs.Ensure project quality plans, inspection, and test plans (ITPs) are followed.Support inspection teams in repair/rework recommendations for different types of rotating equipment (steam turbines, turbo compressors, generators, pumps, etc.).Report any non-conformances to higher authorities and assist QHSE managers in concluding root cause analyses and corrective actions on NC jobs.Support NDE processes (RT, UT, MPT, PT, PMI, etc.) as applicable.Support preparation of day-to-day activity reports – quality packages (NDE (MPI, LP, RT), HVOF, laser cladding, low-speed balancing, high-speed balancing, & review reports, inspection reports).Ensure compliance with internal policies, procedures, and plans as well as applicable external HSSE regulatory programs.Required Skills and Qualifications Good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with all levels of the business.Highly organized and efficient.Demonstrate confidence and conviction with the ability to intervene at all times.Ability to make decisive and informed decisions independently.Apply logical and methodical thinking and operate in compliance with standards and regulations at all times.Generate enthusiasm and commitment to managing quality within the organization.A team player, taking responsibility for own work environment and that of others.Benefits Awareness of management systems in compliance with ISO 9001: 2015, API Spec Q1, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.Hands-on experience in API 687, API 612, and API 617.Ability to conduct different kinds of inspections: dimensional – visual – ERO – NDE.Basic understanding of rotating equipment (turbo compressors – steam turbines – pumps – etc.).Ability to prepare inspection reports as required.Knowledge of turbines, rotating equipment, pumps (desirable).Knowledge of measuring/inspection parameters for oilfield equipment.Knowledge of inspections and NDT procedures.Knowledge of welding technology (desirable).Knowledge and understanding of quality management principles and practice within an organizational context.Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written.Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook).Education Requirements Industrial diploma or degree in mechanical engineering (desirable).NDT certification.Five years of previous experience in a similar role essential in an oil and gas mechanical/workshop environment.Product knowledge/exposure: rotating equipment (compressor, pumps, steam turbines, blowers, gearboxes, fans, etc.).Physical Requirements Light physical effort.Sufficient physical ability to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.
