Senior Legal Advisor

Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned Legal Counsel to join our team in the Middle East & Africa region. As a key member of our legal team, you will be responsible for providing proactive and solutions-focused legal support to our business.Key Responsibilities Providing legal support to our business to ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements Handling matters relating to contracts, including reviewing and negotiating consultancy agreements, joint venture arrangements, and subcontracts Managing contentious disputes and claims, including matters notified to our professional indemnity insurers Working collaboratively with our legal teams on major projects and international pursuits involving our business Duties: Legal Support: Provide timely and effective legal support to our business, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations Contract Review and Negotiation: Review and negotiate consultancy agreements, joint venture arrangements, and subcontracts Dispute Resolution: Manage contentious disputes and claims, including matters notified to our professional indemnity insurers Requirements A minimum of 6+ years post-admission experience is required. Arabic (written and spoken) would be highly regarded.The following experience is strongly desirable: Strong contracts and projects capabilities and experience Expertise managing contentious matters / disputes Top-tier law firm experience ME region experience Multi-national corporation experience Ethics and compliance experience Construction / engineering industry experience Qualifications: A Bachelor of Law is required, ideally from a reputable university Skills Required Good oral and written English communications skills, including excellent presentation, reviewing and drafting skills Experience in the area of front-end contract review and negotiation, major projects and construction law ideally gained within a large commercially driven multinational law firm or organization Negotiation skills in a number of different scenarios including written, virtual and face-to-face with MEA and international client bodies and their advisors Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid time off, leaves of absence, and flexible work options.About Us We are a global infrastructure leader committed to delivering a better world.
