Financial Operations Manager

Job Title: Financial Operations Manager We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced financial operations manager to oversee all financial activities and processes within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of shipping operations, maritime contracts, charter parties, and logistics workflows.Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable/accounts receivable, general ledger, cash flow management, and reconciliations.Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.Monitor budget performance and perform variance analysis to highlight deviations and recommend corrective actions.Support management with strategic financial planning and scenario modeling.Data Analysis & Business Support: Collect, analyze, and interpret operational and financial data to provide actionable insights.Develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs to track performance across shipping activities.Education & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.Professional accounting qualification preferred (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA).Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in a finance controller or senior finance role.Must have prior experience in shipping, maritime, or transport/logistics sectors.Skills & Knowledge: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in ERP/accounting systems and Excel.Solid knowledge of IFRS and local statutory requirements.
