Senior Technical Consultant Job Description About the Role We are seeking a skilled professional to fill the position of Senior Technical Consultant. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training courses in classroom or on-site settings and ensuring safe working conditions for participants.Developing course material for classroom and on-site training, as well as advising on updates needed in e-learning materials.Creating and updating course descriptions and programs, while considering feedback from previous courses and implementing corrective action when necessary.Collaborating with technical stakeholders, including Product Management, Project Management, Engineering, Sales, and other groups that support training course development and delivery.Supporting course administration in making course arrangements and answering course enquiries and proposals for training courses.Providing technical support for customers of Hitachi Energy regarding Mi Cro SCADA and RTU family products, and coordinating resolution with After-Sales Service and/or Spare Parts teams.Key Responsibilities The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree and 8-15 years of experience in Electronics and Communications. Relevant work experience on Micro SCADA family products is required, as well as customer support experience with these products. Good understanding of Communication Protocols (IEC61850, IEC101, IC104, Modbus) and proficiency in spoken and written English are also essential.The successful candidate will be responsible for replicating customer-reported issues in a lab environment, collaborating with the R&D team to identify root causes and fix problems, and contributing to the knowledge base by creating KB articles and FAQs. Additionally, they will provide technical support and guidance to the sales team for offer preparation and actively participate in training and improving product and process knowledge.This role requires a strong focus on safety and integrity, adhering to Hitachi Energy's core values and taking responsibility for own actions while caring for colleagues and the business.
