Game Engineering Mentor Role We are seeking a seasoned Game Engineer to fill the role of Game Engineering Mentor.The successful candidate will serve as a 'player-coach' across a portfolio of game projects being developed by aspiring youth game makers. They will mentor and guide these individuals, helping them cultivate good software development practices and create exceptional game engineers.Mentor aspiring game makers in the art of game engineering.Contribute to the architecture and implementation of game systems.Coordinate the engineering efforts of both participants and staff on collaborative projects.Evaluate engineering designs, solutions, and tools.Provide feedback and coaching on engineering work and developmental progress.Develop learning content for Endless Studios' engineering learning pathway.Establish and promulgate engineering standards and procedures.Troubleshoot challenges and conflicts.This is an exciting opportunity for experienced game engineers who have the passion to mentor and empower the next generation of game developers.Key Qualifications: Minimum 5+ years game engineering experience.Background in coaching, training, mentoring, or teaching.Prior experience developing in Unity or creating engineering content for a Unity learning pathway.Ability to communicate effectively with designers, producers, artists, and other game making professionals.Bonus Qualifications: Shipped one or more games built in Unity.Samples of completed Unity game projects contributed to.Prior experience teaching game making or collaborating on games in an online or virtual setting.About This Opportunity: This role offers a unique chance to make a lasting impact on the next generation of game developers.
