The MEP Coordinator plays a critical role in the successful execution of construction projects, ensuring the integration and coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This position requires a highly organized individual with strong technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. The MEP Coordinator works closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure that all MEP aspects of a project are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality standards and regulations. They must efficiently manage schedules, oversee installations, and handle any issues that arise with an emphasis on maintaining a safe and productive work environment. This role demands excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams to achieve shared goals.Responsibilities Oversee and coordinate all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations on-site.Ensure MEP projects are completed on schedule and within budget criteria.Establish and implement quality control systems for MEP activities.Interact with project stakeholders to understand and accommodate their MEP needs.Develop and maintain project documentation, including material specifications and compliance records.Evaluating and approving designs, drawings, and material specifications for MEP works.Conduct regular inspections to ensure all installations meet quality standards and safety codes.Resolve technical issues with the project team and external contractors swiftly and effectively.Coordinate with the project management team to forecast project timelines and resource allocation.Ensure all work complies with building regulations and safety standards.Liaise with purchasing departments to verify material specifications before orders are placed.Prepare and present progress reports and technical updates to project stakeholders.Requirements Bachelor s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.Minimum of five years experience in MEP coordination or project management.Comprehensive understanding of MEP systems and construction practices.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder management.Proficient in Auto CAD, Revit, and other relevant design and project management software.Sound knowledge of building codes, standards, and safety regulations pertinent to construction.Disclaimer: Naukrigulf.com is only a platform to bring jobseekers & employers together.
