Inventory Management Expert The role of an Inventory Controller involves overseeing the efficient management of inventory operations. This encompasses utilizing advanced digital applications and modern inventory management systems to ensure accurate data and regular analysis, thereby enhancing supply chain efficiency and reducing errors and costs.The key responsibilities of this position include implementing advanced inventory control procedures using ERP systems and modern inventory management software. Additionally, it involves setting minimum and maximum stock levels based on data-driven product movement analysis (Fast-moving, Slow-moving, Dead stock). Furthermore, preparing regular and interactive inventory reports using tools like Power BI or Zoho Analytics is a crucial aspect of this job.This position requires close coordination with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to update inventory data in real-time. Monitoring returned products and coordinating with technical teams to inspect and evaluate product conditions are also essential duties. Ensuring all inventory transactions are recorded promptly and accurately in the system and monitoring discrepancies between physical and system stock are critical tasks. Proposing continuous improvements to inventory processes using AI tools and demand forecasting applications is another vital responsibility. Supervising warehouse staff to ensure adherence to inventory policies and procedures and monitoring stock levels to avoid shortages or overstocking that could disrupt business operations are also important aspects of this role.In addition to these duties, managing and documenting proper disposal or return processes for damaged or expired items is a critical task. Participating in regular meetings with the Commercial Director and presenting updated analysis and inventory insights is also an essential duty. Submitting monthly detailed reports including stock movement summaries, top-selling products, overstocked items, return rates, product damage rates, and overall inventory performance indicators (KPIs) is a key responsibility.
