Project Estimation Specialist

Job Opportunity We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Estimating Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will perform various estimating activities on assigned projects, including material takeoffs, developing work breakdown structures, and preparing detailed estimates.Responsibilities: Preparation of material takeoffs from engineering drawings, plans, and specifications.Development and preparation of detailed work breakdown structures for contracts, projects, and program elements.Assistance in the accumulation, evaluation, and documentation of cost data from completed contracts.Preparation of bases of estimate development, including scope, method of development, pricing, labor, material, and equipment rates.Utilization of parametric historical estimate data to develop reasonable estimates of probable cost.Preparation of tasked estimates, including labor and material rates, equipment rates, productivity rates, efficiencies, and other resources.Obtaining quotations by developing specification and scope of work for subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.Accumulation, classification, and documentation of historical cost data for use in future company estimates.Review of contract documents to assess contract risk and assign reasonable maximum cost and schedule exposure.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Civil, Mechanical Engineering, or Construction Management or related field (or equivalent work experience).Fresh UAE National graduates are welcome to apply.Clear understanding of construction contract commercial documents, drawings, and specifications.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Preferred Skills: Previous experience using estimating database supported software.Familiarity with typical project controls software such as Primavera scheduling software.About Us: We are an equal opportunities employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
