Regional Economic Analyst

About This Role: This position offers a challenging opportunity to join our team as an Economist. You will be responsible for analyzing and forecasting economic conditions in the Middle East and North Africa region, working closely with our experienced team of economists. Your expertise will contribute to the development of accurate and insightful forecasts that inform business decisions.Key responsibilities include: Monitoring and reporting on economic and financial developments in several countries in the region Forecasting economic conditions for these countries using advanced economic models Collaborating with other teams within the organization Contributing to frequent outlook and risk publications (headline analysis, monthly and quarterly reports on the region and assigned countries)Authoring insightful in-depth reports on topics of interest to customers Supporting customer briefings at conferences, onsite presentations and via webcasts Responding to internal and external client inquiries Participating in regular calls with colleagues and customers during European & US business hours Requirements: A strong background in economics is essential for this role. You should hold a Ph D or master's degree in economics or a related field, with rigorous economics coursework. 7-10 years of relevant work experience, either in a commercial or academic setting, is required. Prior experience in monitoring and forecasting regional economies is highly valued. Fluency in English and Arabic is also necessary. Strong analytical skills and comfort with quantitative analysis are critical. Excellent communication skills are essential, with a track record of producing high-quality written analysis on macroeconomic topics.
