Financial Business Analyst - Streaming Industry

Business Analysis Specialist We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Business Analyst to join our Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between Finance, Business Intelligence, and key business units such as Growth, Marketing, and Advertising ensuring seamless collaboration and driving data-informed decision-making.Key Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive business cases for new initiatives, projects, and investments within the streaming business by analyzing financial and operational data to forecast potential impact and ROI of proposed initiatives.Create detailed business plans and financial models, including revenue forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, and customer lifetime value models to support strategic decision-making and evaluate viability of new initiatives.Monitor and evaluate financial and operational performance of the streaming business, identifying key performance issues, trends, and areas of concern, providing actionable insights and recommendations.Partner with the BI team to ensure timely and accurate reporting of key metrics and track and analyze key streaming metrics, including churn, subscriber growth, ARPU, and cost-per-acquisition.Build and maintain close relationships with key business teams, understanding their goals and challenges to provide tailored analytical insights and communicate performance trends, business insights, and key findings effectively to Finance and business stakeholders.About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic streaming industry and contribute to the evaluation of business performance, deliver actionable insights, develop business cases, and identify opportunities for performance improvements.Requirements: Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, data analytics, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. 3+ years of experience in business analysis, planning, analytics, or a related role, preferably within a high-growth startup, with experience in the streaming or digital media industry highly desirable.Competencies: Strong analytical skills with expertise in business modelling, performance analysis, and business case development. Proficiency in data visualization tools and advanced Excel skills, familiarity with financial planning software or ERP systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams and present complex information clearly.
