About the Job We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced educator to join our faculty as a Senior Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Environmental Design. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental design methods and tools, with expertise in passive design techniques, material science, and emerging technologies such as machine learning and AI. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to contribute to our research field by developing innovative concepts, tools, and platforms to intertwine passive and active environmental control techniques through digital innovation, and to link them to industrial applications. Teach 12 credits of courses including student academic mentoring. Conduct research through projects, innovations, publications or via industrial/architectural design or digital fabrication practice. Participate in departmental activities and administrative life. Qualifications The successful applicant will possess: A terminal degree in a design-related field or equivalent professional experience. An advanced degree related to environmental/parametric design. Three years of university-level teaching experience—either full-time, adjunct, or visiting scholar—at the undergraduate and graduate levels, or equivalent professional experience in a design-related field with an emphasis on computation. Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include: Developing innovative concepts, tools, and platforms to intertwine passive and active environmental control techniques through digital innovation. Linking these techniques to industrial applications. Mentoring students and contributing to their academic development.
