Senior Conservation Projects Manager

Job Description We are seeking an experienced project director to lead the development and implementation of a set of projects securing durable conservation outcomes. This role involves working closely with country and regional programs, partners, and teams to ensure the successful delivery and closing of projects.Main Responsibilities: Lead the overall project, ensuring the successful delivery and closing of assigned projects in close partnership with country and regional programs and partners.Be ultimately responsible for the Project's quality and content, ensuring the project results in the desired conservation outcomes.Ensure government commitment to and active participation in the project.Builds strong relationships with internal and external partners.Leads several cross-functional and matrixed teams to foster and maintain team cohesion and strong communication channels.Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will require: Education and Experience: BA/BS degree and 7 years' experience in conservation practice or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.Leadership and Management: Experience directing a major complex program or project of strategic importance, including management/supervision of multi-disciplinary teams and meeting deadlines.Partnerships and Stakeholder Engagement: Experience developing partnerships with non-profit partners, community groups and government agencies, influencing and working productively with these stakeholders.Communication and Presentation: Experience writing and editing promotional and informational material, presenting to and/or communicating with government or legislative staff, community or business leaders, program leadership and/or similar audiences.Benefits The Nature Conservancy offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health care benefits, flexible spending accounts, a 401(k) plan with an employer match, parental leave, accrued paid time off, life insurance, disability coverage, employee assistance program, and other life and work well-being benefits.What We Bring The Nature Conservancy is a global environmental organization dedicated to protecting ecosystems and preserving natural habitats.
