Surveyor Position

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Land Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, organizing and directing survey work to determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas and contours.The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset and be able to work independently. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.The role will involve researching previous survey evidence, maps, deeds and other records to obtain data needed for surveys. The successful candidate will also be responsible for verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be required to maintain equipment in good condition and perform regular calibration checks. They will also be responsible for keeping accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed.Key Responsibilities: Plan and direct survey work to determine precise locations and measurements of points, elevations, lines, areas and contours.Research previous survey evidence, maps, deeds and other records to obtain data needed for surveys.Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.Maintain equipment in good condition and perform regular calibration checks.Keep accurate notes, records and sketches to describe and certify work performed.Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Degree in Civil Engineering or Land Surveying or equivalent.Experience: Minimum 6 years experience in surveying.Skills: Knowledge and/or experience in using CAD software and survey software, total station data collectors and GPS equipment.Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work independently.Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate logically and clearly with management and staff.Benefits We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance and disability benefits.
