We are seeking an exceptional educator to join our team as an Assistant Professor in Sustainability Education, focusing on teaching and developing innovative approaches to sustainability.About the Role This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of our new BSc Sustainability programme, launching on our Dubai campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and delivering engaging curriculum content, managing teaching and learning activities, and providing academic support to students.Main Duties: Contribute to leading curriculum development and renewal;Develop and manage approaches to teaching and learning that are best practice in the subject area;Advise others on aspects of learning, teaching, and assessment;Play an important role in student academic support;Frequently update your subject expertise and undertake personal professional development in teaching;The ideal candidate will have a higher degree relevant to the discipline area, preferably a Ph D, or equivalent qualifications and/or professional experience in Geography, Environmental Science, or Sustainability. Teaching experience and scholarship within the subject specialism are essential. Additionally, the ability to devise, advise on, and manage learning, along with excellent interpersonal skills, is crucial for this role.Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be expected to: Teach and examine modules at various levels, including Global Environmental Issues, Climate Justice, Sustainability Theory, and GIS;Plan and review their own teaching approaches and encourage others to do the same;Design contemporary, inclusive, engaging, and academically challenging curriculum content;Work collaboratively with colleagues to design and deliver teaching, learning, and assessment;We value diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive working environment.
