Main Responsibilities: Build and lead a derivatives trading desk focused on optimising around physical crude oil, distillates, and gasoline flows.Take and manage proprietary positions, driving P&L across derivatives and physical trading strategies.Trade paper markets actively: Brent, fuel oil, arbs, freight, spreads, informed by research, indicators, and customer flow data.Identify and execute hedging strategies to mitigate risk on flat price and basis for physical oil books.Monitor macro events, S&D data, and geopolitical risks to support active market positioning.Collaborate closely with physical trading teams to align paper and cargo strategies.Develop P&L tracking, net exposure models , and performance dashboards for reporting.Report directly to the MD on market moves, performance updates, and new strategies.Requirements: "

Experience: 7–10+ years' experience in oil and energy derivatives trading (crude, distillates, gasoline) at a trading house, oil major, hedge fund, or bank.Knowledge: Deep understanding of global petroleum markets and product fundamentals; refining/blending knowledge is a strong plus.Skills: Strong technical toolkit: market analysis (technical & fundamental), trading systems, risk frameworks. Experience running significant risk and generating consistent returns from trading derivatives.Mindset: Entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial instincts, and high ownership mentality.Languages: Fluent in English.Educational background: Degree in a quantitative or analytical field (Engineering, Economics, Math, etc.)Benefits: "
