Health, Safety, and Environmental Manager

Job Summary HSE Managers are essential for overseeing and enforcing a Contractor HSE Program that complies with ISO and company standards. In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing HSE leadership and support at the project level to ensure HSE goals, objectives, and targets are met.Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily activities of HSE staff including site inspections, audits, and reporting.Prepare weekly and monthly HSE reports, statistics, and presentations related to HSE performance.Manage the HSE staff and coordinate their audit schedule.Monitor and track overall project HSSE performance and communicate trends and achievements.Develop required documentation, operational checks, and reports for the HSE Management System in compliance with ISO standards.Investigate HSE complaints put forward by staff members and report results to management.Coordinate and participate in accident and near-miss investigations. Review and analyze findings and develop corrective actions.Develop and implement focused audit strategy to align with nonconformance trends and high-risk activities.Conduct job safety analyses and pre-task analyses (Total Safety Task Instructions).Maintain site presence and inspect job site activities during difficult or hazardous work situations.Coordinate weekly safety-focused walkthroughs with site management and supervision.Assist management in preparing and presenting field HSE meetings.Conduct weekly and monthly meetings with HSE staff and mass toolbox talks.Develop and maintain emergency response procedures and evacuation plans.Evaluate emergency response preparedness through regular exercises and drills.Advise site management, craft employees, and subcontractors on successful implementation of Zero Harm objectives.Requirements: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Health, Safety, Environment Management, Chemical Engineering, or relevant diploma.Minimum 10+ years' experience as a HSE Manager/Lead position.Strong Health Safety and Environment Managerial skills in similar industries.Practical knowledge in root cause analysis (RCA).Skills Required: Strong communication skills.Excellent training skills.Able to provide detailed audit reports with relevant preventive and corrective measures.Fluent English speaking and excellent report writing skills.Qualified in implementation of ISO management systems.Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in refinery.Qualified/certified in HSE practices.
