You will collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.Your new role, what's involved?Lead and manage all aspects of overhead transmission line projects, from initiation to closeout, ensuring adherence to project objectives, schedules, and budgets. Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to develop project plans, including scope definition, resource allocation, and risk management strategies. Review engineering designs, drawings, and specifications for overhead transmission lines to ensure compliance with client requirements, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines. Coordinate with Contractor's suppliers, and vendors to procure materials, equipment, and services necessary for project implementation. Supervise construction activities, including tower erection, conductor stringing, and installation of hardware and accessories, to ensure quality, safety, and efficiency. Conduct regular site inspections, conduct HSE auditing the work and reporting, quality assurance checks to monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve construction-related challenges in a timely manner, conduct regular progress review meeting, project scope review and verification, witnessing site acceptance and factory acceptance test and commissioning of the line. Verify all the as built documents. Verification and certification of materials and work measurements and complete the project closeout process. Manage project documentation, including contracts, permits and NOC, drawings, and reports, to ensure accurate record-keeping and facilitate project communication and reporting. Provide technical guidance and support to project team members, supporting the Principal Resident Engineer or Project Manager, Contractor and clients, addressing technical inquiries, resolving disputes, and mitigating project risks. Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, permitting requirements, and safety protocols throughout the project lifecycle. Foster a culture of safety, professionalism, and excellence among project team members, promoting continuous improvement and knowledge sharing. Maintain complete project records, including technical documentation, test reports, and as-built drawings, ensuring proper handover upon project completion. Strong understanding of electrical power systems, including transmission, distribution, and substation components and operations. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and mitigate project risks. Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders and build strong client relationships. Leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire and motivate project teams, foster collaboration, and drive results. Strong understanding of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) practices to ensure a safe worksite We'd love to hear from you if you have: Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field, Master's degree preferred. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred. Minimum of 15 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on overhead transmission line projects. Extensive knowledge of transmission line design, construction, and maintenance practices, including tower configurations, conductor types, and insulation methods. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools, such as PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and Auto CAD. Willingness to travel to project sites as needed and work flexible hours to accommodate project requirements.
