The hotel offers award-winning 5-star luxury hospitality and authentic local experiences with 390 luxurious rooms and suites, along with acclaimed culinary cuisines.About the job Based at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, within the Food & Beverage Department, the Waiter/Waitress is responsible for ensuring that guests are served food and beverages according to the standards of Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi. The Waitress reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager.As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be responsible for: Setting up stations and tables according to standards.Greeting guests according to the standards set by Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi.Communicating with guests to enhance their dining experience.Assisting the captain in presenting the menu, making recommendations, and taking orders.Serving food and beverages promptly and efficiently.Following up on billing and check procedures.Maintaining cleanliness of the buffet area.Coordinating and assisting in clearing tables and stations.Supervising the return of dirty linen.Assisting in clearing the buffet with the kitchen team.Being present in the restaurant during service hours.Keeping the captain informed of guest comments and complaints.Attending communication meetings, briefings, and training sessions as required.Maintaining a neat uniform and personal grooming standards.Performing any other duties as assigned by your Supervisor or Manager.Qualifications and experience we seek: Certification or Diploma in Hospitality Management preferred.Previous experience in a standalone restaurant preferred; resort experience is a plus.Passionate about guest service with an engaging personality.Our commitment to you includes: Learning & Development programs to support your growth.MOstay program offering complimentary nights and attractive rates on rooms for you and your loved ones.Health & Colleague Wellness initiatives to support your well-being.Retirement plans based on your role and length of service.We're fans.
